you will learn about…

Session 1: The Yoga of crisis

How do I turn lows into highs and find happiness in all situations of life? We’ll explore Arjuna’s existential crisis and his struggle to find purpose.

Session 2: The story of three Selves

Who am I and how do I overcome the limiting nature of labels that I identify myself and others with? The metaphysical concepts of matter, consciousness, three kinds of self’s and reincarnation that forms the core of the Vedic philosophical framework. Our quest for true happiness depends on finding our true self.

Session 3: the monkey Mind 

What exactly is the mind? Is it me or something different? How do I deal with my mind and that of others? The mind has a mind of it’s own and holds the secret to our happiness or distress. It makes or breaks us and decides our future destinations. Let’s explore this greatly powerful entity and learn the tools to harness it in our favor.

session 4: Karma, Freewill, Destiny

Why do bad things happen to good people and vice versa? Is my future, happiness and distress predestined? What is the interplay of our free will, destiny and actions? Is there a way to get beyond the cycle of karma?

Session 5: Death and Grief

Is death the end of our existence? How do we face our deepest fears around it and make it a portal to step into timelessness.

Session 6: Maya, its forces and influences

What is this world that often feels like a crazy place? Why am I here? How do I navigate its maze? What are the various invisible forces of nature that impact us?

Session 7: Knowledge, Faith, and Doubt

Are doubts all bad or can they open up new doors to deeper knowledge? What is knowledge and what is faith? Can faith and reason exist together and ultimately what is knowledge?

Session 8: Yoga of work (karma-yoga)

Why should I work? Is there a deeper purpose to work? Can work and spirituality coexist? How can I turn my everyday activities spiritual? Is work an obstacle to spiritual realization or can it transformed into yoga? The art of work is a subject filled with nuances that can change our relationship with work and life.

Session 9: nature of absolute truth

What is the nature of the Absolute Truth and what is our relationship with this truth?

Session 10: energies

What are energies and where do they come from? What is my relationship with energy? What are the different energies at work and how do they influence us?

Session 11: vedic philosophical systems

Hinduism presents so many philosophical systems, which can be confusing. Let us explore some of these prominent systems and what can we learn from them.

Session 12: the Yoga of Sound

Yoga of Sound, connecting with our real self and the Supreme through sound.

FAQs

When and where do the class sessions happen?

Live classes will be held via zoom sessions, but each class is recorded, and students may also participate in the program remotely.

What kind of personal attention do students receive?

We offer a variety of services to make sure that students are personally cared for throughout the program. We allow Q&A time during each class and will also host one live Q&A session every two weeks. You can also ask your questions or share your realizations and experiences in our classroom discussion forum where we and our experienced tutors will answer questions you have about classroom material or any other related subject. We’re also available to answer questions by email throughout the year. It is also quite common for students to independently form study groups outside of class through our discussion forum. Our motto is: “no question goes unanswered when you’re in our classrooms.”

How do I access the course materials each week if I can’t participate in the live webinars?

You’ll have access to all the class recordings, Q&A session recordings, reading materials, assignments, worksheets. You may study the materials and do the course at your own pace.
